Mount Ruapehu, New Zealand
It is an active stratovolcano on the North Island of New Zealand and one of the highest peaks in the country, with an elevation of 2797 meters. Located within Tongariro National Park, it forms the famous volcanic triangle in the region along with Tongariro Mountain and Nauru Hoy Mountain. It is also a popular destination for hikers, with multiple trails crossing its volcanic landscape, including the famous Tongariro Trail. It still attracts thousands of tourists every year.
